Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines: what if autonomous shuttles landed for the Paris 2024 Olympics?

The first experiment in real traffic conditions has barely ended in Montigny-le-Bretonneux when, already, the agglomerate


No accident in fifteen months is already a positive assessment in itself.

The experimentation of the autonomous shuttle, which was to be spread over fifteen months, has just come to an end on Tuesday.

While other tests ended in failure – we remember the flop of the experiment on the forecourt of La Défense (Hauts-de-Seine) – the test carried out in real traffic conditions in Montigny-le-Bretonneux (Yvelines) is a real success.

So much so that the agglomeration of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines wishes to repeat the experience by offering its urban and peri-urban territories as a playground for other driverless vehicles.

With, ideally, the prospect of the 2024 Olympics.
