The experimentation of the autonomous shuttle, which was to be spread over fifteen months, has just come to an end on Tuesday.
While other tests ended in failure – we remember the flop of the experiment on the forecourt of La Défense (Hauts-de-Seine) – the test carried out in real traffic conditions in Montigny-le-Bretonneux (Yvelines) is a real success.
So much so that the agglomeration of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines wishes to repeat the experience by offering its urban and peri-urban territories as a playground for other driverless vehicles.
With, ideally, the prospect of the 2024 Olympics.
