Play Xbox games without a console?
This will soon be possible, provided you have a Samsung connected TV dating from 2022. Microsoft and the Korean brand announced on Thursday that around a hundred titles will be playable from June 30 in 27 countries.
“Blockbusters” such as the shooting game “Halo Infinite” or the racing simulation “Forza Horizon 5” will be part of the catalog.
All titles will be accessible on the Xbox application, without the need to download them, thanks to “cloud gaming” (remote video game).
"Fortnite" offered for free
Users will be able to connect controllers via Bluetooth to their TV allowing them to play their favorite games.
They will need to have an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
Microsoft claims more than 25 million users of this paid "cloud gaming" service worldwide.
The very popular online survival game “Fortnite” will be offered free of charge.
Samsung and Microsoft have already entered into partnerships in the past, in particular to allow Xbox Game Pass subscribers to benefit from certain services on smartphones from the Korean manufacturer's Galaxy range.
For its part, Samsung has also made agreements with several other video game streaming services, including with Stadia (Google), GeForce NOW (Nvidia) and Utomik.
