A dream view of the Aegean Sea, a chef's menu… The island is not just a huge open-air party, it is home to some of the best spots in the Cyclades.

With more than two million visitors during July and August 2021, more than any other European country, Greece is one of the champion destinations for summer tourism.

To enjoy the Cyclades and discover that Mykonos is more than a party venue, follow the guide!

Sunset in music

Away from Tropicana, Paradise or Cavo Paradiso - party spots on the sand, radiates Scorpios, a waterfront restaurant and club on the southern tip of the island.

Imagined as an ancient agora, this nature refuge lives to the rhythm of the sun, from sunrise to sunset on the island of Delos.

One of the two beaches is moreover specifically dedicated to the sunset in music, with events and DJs.

Since a partnership in 2019, members of Soho House and guests of the nearby Soho Roc House have exclusive access.

Shelter with a view

Inaugurated last summer in the bay of Ornos, Kalesma is a boutique hotel imagined as a typical village, made up only of 2 villas and 25 suites with sea view and private swimming pool: small private houses of 63 m² with walls whitewashed designed by the Greek architects of K-Studio.

The decoration, from the large terrace to the bedroom, cultivates raw materials and muted tones to highlight the blue of the sky and the Aegean Sea.

As a bonus: in-room treatments and massages (before the spa opens this year), a poolside bar and a Greek cuisine restaurant Père Ubu.

Coya invites Peru to Greece in a garden in the city with a perfume and a festive and exotic atmosphere.

Under the shade of bougainvillea heavy with flowers, come here for a drink at the Pisco Bar or to discover Peruvian flavors with Mediterranean accents: sea bass or sea urchin ceviche, octopus tempura and grilled fish of the day with Peruvian tapenade.

Sleep closer to the beach

The family group Myconian Collection inaugurates its eleventh establishment in Mykonos this summer.

Located in the cove of Ornos, just 3.6 kilometers south of the city center, the O Hotel is a five-star jewel with minimalist architecture bringing together 65 rooms and suites between 33 and 135 m², some with jacuzzi on the terrace or private swimming pool.

Sea views, design aesthetics and ecological awareness combining wood, stone and marble: the spot with its explosive charm invites you to let go, to barefoot holidays to the sound of the lapping of the crystalline sea.

Chill in the sand

Meet at the Beef Bar, in the heart of the Bill & Coo Hotel, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World.

Located on the beach of Agios Ioannis, the restaurant offers grilled fish and Mediterranean dishes but also (and above all) the meats that have made its reputation throughout the world.

Dinner with your feet in the water

The location is incredible, the view just as much: welcome to Kastro's bar restaurant, one of the most Instagrammable spots in Mykonos.

In this former fishermen's house, the atmosphere is authentic, the prices reasonable (for the island) and the tables give the impression of dining like on a boat: literally above the water, if you are on a balcony of the house, or on the outdoor terrace, at the end of the street which overlooks the beach.
