The Israel Police arrested a suspect yesterday (Wednesday) for committing sexual offenses with his younger sister.
The police investigation began following a report received several days ago.
According to the suspicion, the brother (19), a resident of East Jerusalem, has committed serious sexual offenses with his sister (10) in the past year in a number of different cases and even used violence against her.
Today, the suspect will be brought to court for a hearing on extending his detention in favor of further investigation.
A police spokesman said: "The Israel Police will continue to fight resolutely against the sexual offenses committed within the family against minors and the helpless, in order to prosecute the sex offenders wherever they are."
