But if you have been drawn towards the mountains over the Pentecost holidays, you currently need a lot of patience - and especially an umbrella.
The German Weather Service warns of continuous rain throughout the extreme south of Bavaria, the warning applies up to and including Thursday at 6 p.m.
Precipitation totals of 30 to 40 liters per square meter are possible.

After the rainy weather in Bavaria that has been ongoing since Pentecost, it should be really warm for the weekend.
"Bathing and barbecue weather at the weekend, a summer high is coming," announces meteorologist Dominik Jung in his newsletter.
Up to 35 degrees are possible in the next week.
"But then showers and thunderstorms again and again," warns Jung.
At the weekend, however, it should stay dry and is therefore "ideal for barbecuing, swimming or hiking."

The area around the train accident near Garmisch-Partenkirchen was particularly affected.
Here, the German Weather Service (DWD) warns of heavy rain with precipitation amounts between 15 and 25 l/qm2 in a short time throughout the morning.
The warning is initially in effect until the early afternoon.
