Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharva stressed that the decisions of the Steering Committee on a peaceful settlement in the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which were taken without Russia, are illegal.
TASS news agency quoted Zakharova as saying in a statement today: The public fraud carried out by the members of the Steering Committee for a Peaceful Settlement in Bosnia and Herzegovina during their meeting on June 7-8, without Russia's participation, is illegal and does not represent the position of the international community.
Zakharova added: For the first time in more than a quarter century of multilateral efforts for a post-conflict settlement in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in unprecedented violation of all existing norms, Russia, as a member of the Steering Committee since its inception, has not been invited to participate in the meeting.
Noting that the actions of the members of the committee's administrative body are flagrant violations and an unprecedented degree of absurdity, Zakharova said: "It is clear that they face real problems with the fact that part of the international community represented by Russia adheres to divergent approaches to how the 1995 Dayton Peace Agreement in Bosnia and Herzegovina is implemented and how it evolves." situation in that country.
