A stranger freaked out after the Bergkirchweih in Erlangen.
He attacked a taxi driver with bites and punches and then jumped out of the car.
Erlangen - Thursday, June 9th was day eight of the Erlangen Bergkirchweih.
"With a cloudy sky and pleasant temperatures on Family Day, the festival site only filled up in the early evening hours," reports the police in a press release.

Three children between the ages of five and eleven who were reported missing by their parents were found by the police with the support of the security service and handed over to their parents, according to the evening's events.
In the afternoon, the police officers in the mountain station received a visit from Bavaria's Minister of the Interior, Joachim Herrmann, who thanked the officers for their service.
Erlangen's Mayor Florian Janik also stopped by.

Erlangen Bergkirchweih: youth threatened young man with knife
Shortly after 10 p.m., the first mountain visitors streamed towards the city center.
Shortly after midnight, two groups of people bumped into each other in the area of Goethestrasse.
A 16-year-old threatens his counterpart with a knife, as the police reported on the action in the city during the "follow-up celebrations".
Although the youth's companions tried to hold him back, he was able to break free and punch the 21-year-old opposite.

Another assault occurred in a taxi.
“Here a previously unknown man freaked out and injured the taxi driver.
The man in lederhosen got into the taxi in the Bayreuther Strasse area and wanted to be driven to Nuremberg," the police reported.
When the taxi was on the A73 between the Erlangen North and Erlangen Center junctions, the passenger became "aggressive for no reason, bit the taxi driver in the arm and head, and he also hit him several times in the face." The taxi driver was able to stop , whereupon the stranger jumped out of the car and fled over the crash barrier in the direction of Wiesengrund.
