For fans of Schlager and folk music, RTL2 will soon have something very special up its sleeve: in the past few months, the station has produced the largest documentary about the Kelly Family to date.

The last day of shooting took place in Rostock a few days ago - after almost a year of production!

Rostock - Hardly any extended family has shaped the German music world as lastingly as the Kelly Family.

The siblings, including Joey Kelly and his sister Patricia, are now not only successful solo, but are also sometimes on stage together at live concerts or the big hit shows.

From autumn, the biggest documentary about the folk band to date will be broadcast on RTL2.

For this, family members Joey, John, Paul and Patricia Kelly have been shooting at locations throughout Europe over the past ten months: “Starting with the original Kelly Family double-decker bus in Rome, via Vienna, Ireland (Dublin, Cork, Galway), Paris, Spain (Gamonal, Pamplona, ​​Belascoin), with the Kelly Family houseboat in Speyer, Amsterdam and Cologne, shooting ended yesterday on the Kelly Family's sailing ship," wrote Joey Kelly on Instagram after the last day of shooting in Rostock.

The RTL2 documentary, which is to be broadcast from autumn, seems to have become an ambitious project:

said the 49-year-old Schlager and pop musicians further.

What exactly the fans can expect is still uncertain - but what is certain is that the extended musical family will invite them to an exciting journey through their own history.
