He is nicknamed "the rapist of the Sambre".

From June 10, Dino Scala must appear before the Assize Court of the North for 56 rapes and sexual assaults on women and adolescent girls.

This father is suspected of having assaulted his victims according to a precise and invariable modus operandi: in the early morning, on the journey between his home in Pont-sur-Sambre and his workplace in Jeumont, between 1988 and 2018.

For thirty years, he raged without arousing the suspicions of investigators, despite testimonies, a precise composite portrait, and even his DNA.

Dino Scala was finally arrested in 2018 thanks to CCTV footage during his last assault in Erquelinnes (Belgium).
