As the COVID-19 outbreak continues, the Centre for Health Protection announced today (10th) that it has received 106 reported cases from schools, involving 84 students and 22 staff from 93 schools.
Among them, the Po Leung Kuk Lam Man Chan English Primary School in To Kwa Wan, the International Department of Su Xi Primary School in North Point, the Xinyi Tiandi Kindergarten in Tsuen Wan, and Bradbury Primary School in Wanchai must suspend classes when there is an outbreak.

Zhang Zhujun, director of the Infectious Diseases Division of the Centre for Health Protection, announced that a total of 106 confirmed cases of school closures were received, involving 93 schools. Among them, 84 patients were students, 14 were from kindergartens, 40 were primary school students, 29 were secondary school students and 1 special school student; 22 patients are also teaching staff.
32 schools with 2 or more cases were mostly sporadic cases
Zhang pointed out that 32 of the schools had 2 or more cases, most of which were sporadic cases from different classes, and were believed to be related to active cases in the community.
Lin Wencan English Primary School added 3 students diagnosed with 4 schools, a total of 5 classes must be suspended
As for schools with confirmed cases, Zhang specifically mentioned the following schools and suggested that classes with outbreaks should stop face-to-face classes:
1. To Kwa Wan Po Leung Kuk Lam Man Chan English Primary School: Class 6A added 1 teacher and 3 students tested positive.
Three other students in Class 4B were diagnosed.
2. International Department of Suxi Primary School in North Point: One more teacher in the P5R class tested positive.
3. Tsuen Wan Heartland Kindergarten: There are 13 students in the morning class of PN31.
Among them, 2 teachers and 2 students were diagnosed, and classes were suspended for a week.
4. Wanchai Bradbury Primary School: 2 students and 1 teacher in Class 5S were diagnosed with the disease, and it is recommended to suspend classes for one week.
