During his visit to the IX Summit of the Americas, the president of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, invited Joe Biden to participate in the next CELAC meeting, and assured CNN that Biden welcomed the invitation .
"(Biden) said that he is very happy with the invitation and we are going to wait now for us to organize it," Fernandez assured in an interview with Nacho Girón for Redacción Buenos Aires.
CELAC is a regional forum that includes 33 countries from Latin America and the Caribbean and was launched in 2011. The CELAC event is scheduled to be held during the first week of December in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
"I believe that once and for all we can take the transcendent step respecting each other's diversity, because we don't think the same. Everyone in Latin America thinks the same, but nevertheless we can get together and unite to solve problems."
"Latin America realized that the disunity among Latin Americans allowed terrible things, for example, the search for vaccines when the covid was getting worse. It is time for us to unite and it is time for us to respect each other, because each people chooses the president they want Fernandez said.
