The stage of Dar Al-Assad for Culture in Lattakia hosted a variety of artistic concert for the Orphan Fostering House at the Masaa’i Islamic Charitable Society, amid an official and popular presence.
The ceremony, which the Society celebrates annually, was presented by its children with the aim of highlighting their talents and included the performance of patriotic songs with dance panels and critical comic breaks in an interesting presentation style and theatrical scene. The Ugarit Troupe, under the supervision of the Directorate of Culture, also participated in dance performances and artistic paintings.
A short film was shown showing the work and history of the association, which is the oldest charitable association, founded in 1928.
The head of the association, Fawaz Dali, told SANA reporter that the association's goal, which has a capacity to accommodate 60 children, is to embrace orphaned children and provide them with full care. It also receives humanitarian cases in cases of divorce and one of its tasks is to integrate them into society and develop their talents.
The director of the orphanage in Latakia, Walid Asmar, indicated that this celebration confirms the necessity of developing children's talents and taking care of them socially, healthily and educationally in various circumstances to raise their level and build their personality that contributes to building society.
The association’s activities official, Muhammad Fattahi, indicated that this ceremony contributes to instilling love for the homeland, life, science and knowledge in children, because they are a fertile land in which good values must be inculcated. Follow-up children inside and outside the home, providing psychological and human support, and highlighting and developing their technical aspects.
