France election: Planned pension reform point of criticism in the election campaign
It is not without reason that Macron approaches the Social Democrats and the Greens before the French elections.
During the election campaign, he made concessions in terms of content and personnel.
The Macron appointed Elisabeth Borne as prime minister.
She is a left-wing politician who is socially committed, it was said at the time of the appointment from the Élysée Palace.
Borne was also Minister for the Environment.
However, it is questionable whether France's Greens will be convinced of this.
Especially since the climate law passed during her tenure fell short of expectations.
Emmanuel Macron is not running as a candidate in the French elections. Nevertheless, the parliamentary elections are crucial for his planned reforms.

However, the left is also attacking Macron because of his planned pension reform.
The liberal president wants to raise the retirement age from 62 to 65.
Although the reform also provides for a slight increase in the minimum pension, the critics are still not convinced.
NUPES also calls for the entry age to be lowered to 60 years.
Parliamentary elections in France: Macron party threatens to lose majority
Emmanuel Macron's alliance will therefore lose in the 2022 general election in France compared to 2017, when Macron's La République en Marche party alone had an absolute majority in the National Assembly with 308 MPs.
As an alliance, the left-wing parties are gaining seats according to the latest polls.
Finally, the results of the first round of France's elections on Sunday (June 12) remain to be seen when forecasts and projections are released.
However, the decision on future majorities will not be made until June 19 due to majority rules.
