Traditional fabrics, handicrafts and culinary delicacies from clubs and national teams: this is what the June market in the town of Geretsried has to offer.

Geretsried - According to the announcement, take part in the market on the weekend of 11./12.

June 20 clubs and exhibitors.

On both days on Karl-Lederer-Platz they offer a variety of goods, arts and crafts and culinary delights as well as hands-on activities for children and adults.

Sunday shopping is also open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“We are moving away from the classic fair to a market with character and heart,” Mayor Michael Müller explains the concept.

After the break caused by the pandemic, "we are once again setting an example for togetherness and sociability".

Beer garden in the middle of the square

Culinary art is also part of the conviviality.

Among other things, there are vintner wines, Bavarian beers, spirits, puszta burgers, lángos, Neapolitan pizzas and roasted almonds.

"The offer is supplemented by delicatessen stands with spices and dips." The stands are positioned around a beer garden in the middle of the square.

Brass band music and Italo pop

The Geretsried Bunker Brass Band and the Italo-Pop band "I Dolci Signori" will provide the musical accompaniment.

Attractions such as a bouncy castle and a carousel await the youngest visitors.

The support association for youth and social work in Geretsried (TVJA) accompanies the market with its range of mobile games.

On the shopping Sunday, the ProCit retail association is also organizing a treasure hunt in cooperation with the TVJA.

Children can dig for building blocks in a pile of sand.

Each block represents a win.

You can win shopping vouchers from ProCit member companies worth 5 to 15 euros and other great prizes.

Guided tours through the BGZ2 possible

The building cooperative Geretsried (BG) allows a look behind the scenes.

On Sundays between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. it offers guided tours through the BGZ2, which should be completed by the end of the year.

The number of participants is limited, registration is possible on the day of the event.

The June market on Karl-Lederer-Platz is open on Saturday, June 11, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and on Sunday, June 12, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
