Sentences ranging from 5 years in prison to life imprisonment

The announcement comes as sentences ranging from 5 years in prison to irreducible life were required against the 20 defendants at trial, six and a half years after the facts, before the special Assize Court of Paris.

The verdict is expected on June 29.

"

The elm of justice is part of the symbolism of reparation through the judicial process (...) which we are in the process of finalizing

," Arthur Dénouveaux, president of Life for Paris, told AFP.

It's already there and the garden is being built around it, it's a beautiful symbol.

“For Arthur Dénouveaux as for Philippe Duperron, president of 13Onze15, “

the telescoping between the trial schedule and the jury schedule

” is mainly explained by the Covid-19, which delayed the trial by four weeks.

We tried a lot to find the right project

“, the principle of which was voted at the end of 2019 by the Council of Paris, recognizes Arthur Dénouveaux.

But for Philippe Duperron, the objective of inaugurating the garden for the tenth anniversary of the attacks "

is very satisfactory
