The old man’s family said that he disappeared after his last appearance at Tsing Qian Street in Tsing Yi that morning (4th), and the police and firefighters searched and rescued in the mountains for several days. Civil security personnel found Hu's body on a hillside of Tsing Yi West Road in Tsing Yi, one kilometer away. The cause of death is to be determined after an autopsy.

More than 100 mobile troops and uniformed police went up the mountain to search.

Afterwards, officers from the police, fire service, flight service and civil security force went up the mountain to search for 6 consecutive days, and found the old man's body this morning.
