After a stroke of fate - the father of her unborn son died in the war - she found new happiness with the Goldach farmer Bartholomäus Morasch: she raised their children Hans and Brigitte with him.

The family made a living from farming and selling cabbage and turnips at Munich wholesale markets.

When walking became increasingly difficult, she moved to a nursing home

She was a valued member of the Catholic women in Goldach and the Seniors' Club.

And always a popular guest at the senior citizens’ Christmas and – most recently in April of this year – at the community’s senior citizens’ afternoon at the folk festival.

When walking became more and more difficult, Theres Morasch finally moved to a retirement home.

Morasch celebrated her 100th birthday two years ago in excellent mental health, but in mourning for her daughter who had just died - congratulated by representatives of the municipality, the church, the district and public life.

Documented life in the "old" Hallbergmoos with a four-mark camera

On June 7th, Theres Morasch closed her eyes forever after a busy and fulfilling life.

Her legacy are contemporary historical documents of inestimable value.

She documented life in the "old", rural Hallbergmoos: with a camera, which she had bought as a young girl for four marks at the time.
