Tanker truck rams truck on the A99 - 300,000 euros damage

On Friday at 3.40 a.m. on the A99 near Aschheim, a tanker truck rammed a truck loaded with general cargo that was coming out of an emergency lay-by and literally overturned it.
The salvage work is still ongoing.

– On Friday at around 3.40 a.m. on the A99 in the direction of Salzburg there was a rear-end collision between a trailer truck and a tanker truck, in which the two drivers were slightly injured.
The property damage is massive.
Articulated lorry drives into emergency bay due to breakdown
Because of a technical problem, the 57-year-old Bulgarian driver of a German transport company stopped his articulated lorry in an emergency bay between the Aschheim and Kirchheim junctions, the police reports.
After fixing the problem, he continued his ride.
At around 30 kilometers per hour he drove into the main lane.
Tank truck drives up unbraked
In the right lane, a 55-year-old Austrian driver from a Landshut transport company approached with his tanker truck and drove into the trailer truck from behind without braking.
Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital.

The salvage operations of the vehicles will probably take a few more hours.
The traffic initially only flowed over the left lane, later over two lanes at the scene of the accident.
This caused a mile-long traffic jam.
Aschheim volunteer fire brigade on duty
The volunteer fire brigade from Aschheim, the highway maintenance department from Hohenbrunn and the technical relief organization Munich-Land were on site for rescue, security and cleaning measures.
The total amount of damage is at least 300,000 euros.
