Tian Zong’s administrative director appeared in court to testify that there was a briefing session for the staff before the competition, and an important telephone list was distributed during the period, informing the staff that all injured persons on the day must be notified to the Accident Coordination Center (ICC) and clearly explained. The number, injury and location of the injured runner, but participation in this briefing is not mandatory.

Mr. Wu Yuhao, Chief Executive Officer of Mr. Tian, confessed that Mr. Tian had been organizing the slag horse together with the Auxiliary Medical Service (AMS) since 1997.
On the day of the incident, the deceased Li Wende (50 years old) participated in the 10-kilometer race. Tian arranged a total of 55 pickets to manage the runners.
AMS dispatched more than 90 first aid personnel, set up 4 first aid stations, 7 foot mobile teams and 2 ambulance bicycles.

There will be a staff briefing one week before the game
The other Tian Association will hold a briefing session for the track staff one week before the race, during which an important phone list will be provided to the volunteers.
There are two different telephone numbers in the coordination center. The former is used to report special incidents that do not involve the injured; the latter is used to report injuries. Volunteers are instructed to report whether the injured person is serious or not, and must mention the injured running. Hand number, injury and location.
Briefing documents will be sent to supervisor
However, participation in the briefing is not mandatory, but the briefing documents will be emailed to the supervisor afterwards.
If the staff did not attend, they could still get the relevant information card and phone number from the supervisor at the briefing session on the morning of the competition, but Wu agreed that Mr. Tian did not force the supervisor to provide a briefing session to his subordinates.
The deceased, Li Wende, was 50 years old. He was an officer of a Christian evangelical organization before his death. On January 21, 2018, he fainted while participating in the Standard Chartered Marathon 10km race and was sent to the hospital for treatment. He died in the Eastern District Hospital on the same month.
There was a jury of 3 women and 2 men for the cause of death. The Hong Kong Amateur Athletics Federation and the Auxiliary Medical Team were listed as interested parties.
