The Ministry of Transport announced that the brutal Israeli aggression that targeted the infrastructure of Damascus International Airport at dawn today caused the airfields to be out of service.
And the ministry indicated in a statement that SANA received a copy of it that the airstrips were damaged in more than one location and significantly with the navigational lighting, in addition to the material damage to the second terminal building of the airport as a result of the aggression, and as a result of these damages, incoming and outgoing flights through the airport were suspended until further notice.
The ministry indicated that its cadres in civil aviation and the competent national companies are working to remove the effects of the aggression and repair the major damages inflicted on the airport, and once it is repaired and to ensure its safety and security, the airport will be resumed and operational, in coordination with the air carriers.
And our air defense media responded at dawn today to an Israeli missile aggression that targeted some points south of Damascus, and shot down most of the hostile missiles.
The Israeli aggression resulted in the injury of a civilian and some material losses.
