Not only the alphorn players, but also the Seefest visitors can go boating for free this year - albeit on slightly larger ships.

The lake festivals in the Tegernsee valley are coming up with innovations this year.
For the first time, visitors can travel by ship and bus free of charge.
And there are guarded bike parking spaces.
Tegernseer Tal
– The lake festivals in the Tegernseer Tal have something new to offer this year.
During and after the event, free shuttle buses and boats will operate in the Tegernsee Valley.
The Seefest kicks off on Tuesday, July 12th, in Rottach-Egern, as usual.
Tegernsee will follow on Tuesday, July 26th.
There is no classic lake festival in Bad Wiessee this year.
From June 30th to July 2nd, the community celebrates its 100th anniversary as "Bad" instead.
Sustainability is a top priority
The fans of the lake festivals from near and far had to starve for a long time.
The corona pandemic forced two cancellations in a row.
Now visitors can again look forward to small stands, stalls and bars along the lake shore at Tegernsee, as well as performances by local groups and lots of party atmosphere.
Sustainability is a top priority this year – in the form of regional (organic) products, a ban on plastic and greater waste separation.
Nevertheless, visitors do not have to do without the fireworks.
The last bus on the ring line leaves at 12:10 a.m
And something else is new.
For the first time, free shuttle buses and boats will take visitors to where the action is, as reported by Tegernseer Tal Tourismus GmbH (TTT).
On the day of the lake festival, both the ring lines of Regionalverkehr Oberbayern GmbH (RVO) and the southern round trip of shipping are free from 5 p.m.
In addition, there are boats again – also free of charge – at 11 p.m. and midnight and an additional special bus at 0.10 a.m.
For the first time there are also guarded bike parking spaces at the school in Rottach-Egern and the Medius Tegernsee (5 p.m. to midnight).
