Claudia Koreck, "Oimara" and Sebastian Schwarzenberger: These are just a few of the artists who will be appearing in Kochel in the near future.

The organizers of the series are relatively satisfied with the advance booking.

All seats are under the tent roof this year.

Kochel am See – The second “Music Summer at the Walchenseekraftwerk” starts on July 5th.

It is organized by the energy company Uniper, i.e. the operator of the power plant, in cooperation with Sabine and Stefan Pfister from "KleinKunst und Kultur" (KKK) in Lenggries.

Claudia Koreck will kick things off with her band and the new program "Auf die Freiheit".

Three of the six concerts will probably be sold out

Advance ticket sales are going "according to the circumstances," says Sabine Pfister when asked.

Three of the six concerts will probably be sold out.

Some cultural organizers in Tölzer Land have recently complained about low demand (we reported) and attributed this to the sharp increase in the cost of living.

"I don't think it's just because of that," says Pfister.

"There's a lot going on right now, some days there are three festivals at once," says Pfister, assessing the situation.

"And people can't tear themselves apart." There are still catch-up events from the Corona period.

"In general, one can say that well-known artists sell better than those who don't have a name that much yet."

Tent roof larger than 2021

There is room for 300 guests at the "Musiksommer am Walchenseekraft".

Because seating is allowed without spacing this year and because Uniper will be installing four permanent tent roofs in addition to the existing tent roof - last year there were only two - no visitor will be left out in the rain despite the open-air character, says Pfister.

"Unless there's a nasty side wind."

Program also with local artists

After the start with Claudia Koreck on Tuesday, July 5th, the band "Conny & die Sonntagsfahrer" will come two days later, on Thursday, July 7th.

The ensemble plays German hits from the 1950s and 60s, dresses in the style of the time and also presents appropriate utensils on stage, such as large microphones trimmed out of date.

Eddy Miller, who stepped in at short notice in 2021 and delighted the audience, will be a guest at the power plant on Friday, July 15th.

He not only interprets great entertainers like Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé and Robbie Williams, but also sings hits by Prince, Tom Jones and Roger Cicero.

It is also important to the organizers to give local artists a stage: The "Oimara" Beni Hafner from Tegernsee will be playing the "Tourettungsmission" program on Sunday, July 17 (and not, as originally planned, "Wannabe").

The "nouWell cousines", almost all young musicians from the Well family, as is well known, will follow on Thursday, July 21st.

Their program is entitled "Boaznklassik". With their classical instruments they promise music and cheeky texts from "different cultures and faces", created in the Johannis-Café in Munich.

At the last concert on Friday, July 29th, "San2 & His Soul Patrol" will be on stage.

Lenggrieser Sebastian Schwarzenberger also plays in the band.

"The Rescue" is the name of their program with a lot of Rhythm & Blues.
