Giovanni Zarrella has just appeared on Carolin Kebekus' TV show.
There, too, he sang a well-known song in Italian – but not one of his hits.
Zarrella suddenly rapped "Mein Block" by Sido and caused laughter.
Cologne – Stand-up queen Carolin Kebekus (42) shows her view of the world in her TV show “The Carolin Kebekus Show” with comedy and singing interludes.
The comedian also brings celebrities onto the stage.
In her last episode, she and pop star Giovanni Zarrella (44; this is how the musician and moderator lives) presented the column "Italian for Beginners: Inside", where the two entertainers underlaid well-known songs with Italian texts and sang.
Zarrella surprised with a rap performance.

Giovanni Zarrella is known for translating all sorts of world hits into Italian, most recently Robbie Williams' "Angels".
So far he has been known mainly for hits and pop.
But Kebekus announced their program heading as follows: "We translated big hits into Italian.
Maybe a little different.
But of course no hits.
Zarella took that at his word and surprised the audience in a musical battle with the song "Mein Block" by rapper Sido.
Kebekus laughed his head off, and the audience clapped enthusiastically to the well-known beat.
Giovanni Zarrella was given the nickname "Sidorella" without further ado.
In his Instagram story, Zarrella explained: "Guys, this is such a fun show.
So funny!”
and also admitted: “Favorite hip-hop track to date!”

But that wasn't the only surprise the hit star had up his sleeve.
After Kebekus had smashed an Italian reinterpretation of the title of the rock band "Rage Against The Machine", Zarrella followed up with a "Pizza Margherita Track", as he calls it on Instagram.
To the tune of Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy," he sang instructions on how to top the popular pizza.
