TSV Peißenberg wants to build a new cabin wing for the ice rink.

The market pledges its support.

But there is a dispute about the amount of the subsidy.

Peißenberg

- It was to be expected: After the clear vote in the building committee, the market council at its most recent meeting unanimously voted in favor of the planning process for the "active center", which, in addition to changing rooms for the ice rink, also accommodates exercise rooms for general club sports should stop.

Estimated at around three million euros in costs (without outdoor facilities and concrete cost calculation), that was simply too expensive in the end, despite a plan variant that was recently significantly reduced in terms of construction.

Stefan Rießenberger, TSV President and parliamentary group spokesman for the citizens' association, left no doubt about that before the vote: "We had to pull the emergency brake because we can't afford it." The population cannot sell it.” The builder community between TSV and the market has thus been dissolved – but not entirely without financial collateral damage.

Both parties have to jointly bear the planning costs incurred so far for the "Active Center" amounting to 200,000 euros.

TSV Peißenberg now has to get by on its own

And what's next?

In terms of planning, TSV has to get by on its own first.

"We can't rest now and have to find a solution," Rießenberger announced in the market council from the TSV's point of view: "We'll be able to save a few euros with our own contributions.

Some have already said: 'We'll help'.” You now have to examine several variants.

Rießenberger spoke of "brick or modular construction".

And Mayor Frank Zellner (CSU) promised "that the community will not pull out now".

The head of the town hall referred to the subsidy of 200,000 euros for the construction of the cabin, which was approved two and a half years ago.

In addition, there is the site of the former roller skating rink, which the municipality is making available.

Enough community involvement?

Not for Robert Pickert.

"The topic moves the people of Peißenberg," said the municipal council of the Peißenberger list.

In view of the rising construction costs, one must discuss whether the 200,000 euros as a subsidy are really sufficient.

Discussion of grant amount

Pickert, who spoke up on behalf of his parliamentary group, made his own calculation: If the "activ center" had been built, he argued, the municipality would have had its own contribution of 450,000, including the subsidy already approved and minus the state subsidy have to pay euros.

The amount could probably not be increased to this level, but Pickert brought a sum of “200,000 euros plus X” into play.

After all, the construction of new cabins would not only benefit the TSV ice hockey teams, but also the many hobby teams, the schools and the figure skating department.

But Pickert reaped opposition to his initiative: "I can't spit out an amount X ad hoc now," explained market treasurer Michael Liedl.

And anyway: the 200,000 euros alone are “not an insignificant amount”.

The municipality also had to cope with increases in construction costs for its projects.

Liedl also put Pickert's bill into perspective with the 450,000 euros in municipal total volume for the "activity center": "250,000 euros of this would have been for the movement rooms alone and not for the cabins."

Georg Hutter (CSU/non-party; "We should be careful, and it should now be planned by the TSV") and Robert Halbritter (SPD) were critical of Pickert's request to speak.

"I cannot support the fact that we increase the amount," explained the deputy mayor: "We also have to think about the other clubs in the area." Halbritter also referred to the financial situation of the community: "Unfortunately, it's not that good ."
