Many woke up in a panic for fear it was a missile fire.
In the last two weeks, two buses of a private transportation company were set on fire in Safed, and a few days later, eight buses were set on fire in Kiryat Shmona.

Fire at Safed Central Station (Meir Yanko - "New in the Galilee")
A large fire broke out during the night (Saturday) at the central station in Safed.
Residents reported that many buses were seen burning, and that loud explosions were heard in the vicinity.
Firefighters and rescuers arrived at the scene.
The Safed municipality said that this was a criminal incident.
Many Safed residents reported waking up in a panic during the night from the explosions.
"We were afraid it was a Katyusha fall," said one resident.
Security forces warned residents not to reach the area of the fire.
