The flower exhibition in its thirty-third session in Lattakia was distinguished by an active and remarkable presence of women through their participation in the display of nurseries and various rural products.

Director of the Agricultural and Family Rural Development Department in the Directorate of Agriculture in Lattakia, Engineer Rabab Warda, explained to SANA reporter that 25 women participate in rural women’s products in the Micro-enterprises Department and the “Al-Franlaq Protected Area” products department. Painter Ghalia Wadah shares her drawings on the faces of children, henna and tattoos for adults and children on the hands and body, in addition to drawing on wood and charcoal portraiture, making wall paintings and interior decorations for homes and shops, using colors designated for face painting, glitter for polishing, watercolors, wax, charcoal, acrylic and oil colors.

While Maysa Kalash, an applied artist, participates through handicrafts, home accessories, floor coverings, mattresses, curtains and paintings, indicating that this type of work has attracted her since childhood, as she participated in many exhibitions in several governorates, while her daughter Maya Kassab presented for the first time with her drawings on wood, glass, pottery and portrait painting in her own style. And using acrylic.

In turn, Hasna Qanayeh participated with her husband, Muhammad Shukri, in a nursery of cacti and ornamental flowers, while the participation of painter Heba Jahjah is represented by live drawings of paintings inspired by nature and animals.

Fatima Hussein expressed her happiness with her first participation in the exhibition through the mother and child painting, the sunflower painting and the vase, adding that she is interested in listening to visitors' opinions and criticisms and learning what is new to hone her skill.

Many visitors to the exhibition appreciated the distinguished participation of Syrian women in the exhibition, as Aziza Ali mentioned that she loved the handicrafts and the general atmosphere that made adults happy before the young, in addition to the remarkable presence of rural women’s products.
