The symposium hosted by the Cultural Center in Kafr Sousa focused on (The Role of Art in Facing the Cultural and Social Invasion), in which director Mohamed Nasrallah and artist Suleiman Kattan participated.
The artist Kattan considered that the drama has a great role in embodying the correct social and cultural reality of the members of society, so it must be presented in a proper manner, pointing out that this year’s drama presented topics of corruption, but it did not refute the positives, and this raises the negative method that does not provide a useful role in communicating business message.
He stressed the need to pay attention to history properly, so Syria is a country of civilization and heritage, and it deserves to dwell on its bright history, which is the responsibility of writers and media professionals to highlight.
Director Nasrallah talked about the drama's attempt to return to its natural place, especially as it is an important tool in posing and treating problems and providing positive messages to society, pointing out the importance of strengthening its role in light of the development of the digital aspect and attempts to penetrate and its dangerous repercussions.
Some of the attending artists, writers, and researchers presented interventions that enriched what was presented and provided new visions in the field of confronting the cultural and social invasion and the role of art in this field.
