Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian described the relations between his country and Venezuela as being in the best condition after signing the comprehensive plan document for bilateral cooperation.
During his meeting with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Carlos Faria, who is accompanying the President of his country to Tehran, Abdullahian expressed Iran's aspiration to strengthen consultations and mutual visits in the future, in a manner that would provide an appropriate ground for following up the document of cooperation over 20 years between the two countries strongly.
In turn, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister pointed to the course of close cooperation between Tehran and Caracas during the previous and current period, praising the progress achieved by the Iranian government despite US sanctions that cover various sectors.
Earlier today, Iran and Venezuela, in the presence of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, signed an agreement for comprehensive strategic cooperation between the two countries for a period of 20 years.
