His daughter Yuval said: "My father did not die, he was murdered. When I realized that my father had been murdered, I screamed for my life."

The son of the late Amichai, Yuval, praised him: "My father, how can you write or talk about yourself in the past tense?

Just yesterday you were with me, with Mom, Yuval and Joey (our dog).

I do not know what to say or do or how to behave.

But I'll still try because you always told me that if you do not try you will not know.

You always supported us and showed us the good.

"I'm sitting in your old room and do not know what to do. People come to the house to try to comfort but I'm just waiting for the omelet and the salad and laughs you make and that we made every Saturday morning."

Dana Benny, Amichai Carmeli's sister-in-law, said: "I have known Amichai since the age of 12. Thirty years. He volunteered for the Civil Guard from the age of 16, where he met my sister, Keren, who also volunteered. It was love at first sight, the first friendship of both. We married a few years later and had two children: Yuval 19 and Sagi, 16 years old.

"It was always clear that he would continue to volunteer with the police. Amichai has been a volunteer with the traffic police for 15 years. He would always take the hardest shift of Friday night, holidays. "On duty. Amichai was very Zionist."

About last night, Dana said: "He had to return from the shift. At seven in the morning the dog started barking when he heard someone at the door. My sister woke up, thought he had forgotten the key. At the door she met ten policemen who told her he was killed. Then they told his father and two brothers. "It is a very hard loss. Amichai was a family man, always putting himself behind. Amichai loved the Land of Israel very much. He liked to travel on Saturdays and knew the Land of Israel very well. He did not use Wise at all, he knew every stone."

Between him and Keren there was a wonderful relationship, the first friendship of both of them.

30 years they are together, both housemates, enjoyed the little things.

He promised his daughter he would return from the shift and take her to the sea.

She's still waiting ... "..
