A figure from the ultra-right Lyonnaise was placed in police custody overnight from Thursday to Friday for acts of violence with a weapon in Lyon, we learned on Saturday from a judicial source, an act denounced by the candidate Nupes de the constituency.
The alleged perpetrator is a former member of Génération identitaire, an association dissolved in March 2021 which had notably hit the headlines in the spring of 2018 by carrying out anti-migrant patrols in the Alps.

violence with a weapon to the detriment of two victims

violence against a person holding public authority
", the Lyon prosecutor's office told AFP, confirming information from the newspaper
