The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli occupation forces' suppression of a sit-in in Tarqumiya, northwest of Hebron in the West Bank, to protest the occupation's seizure of 600 dunams of the town's lands.
The ministry considered, in a statement reported by Wafa Agency, that this aggression is an extension of the Israeli escalation and the seizure of Palestinian lands by force, using all forms of oppression and violence to convince the owners of the land that they have no choice but to submit to the will of the occupier and accept the fait accompli.
The ministry called on the Palestinians to coordinate with various human rights and humanitarian organizations in order to document these violations and submit them to the competent international courts to ensure accountability and prosecution of the perpetrators.
