Al-Bukamal City Council has started implementing a project to replace the sewage network in the residential neighborhood of Tuwayba in the city.
The head of the Al-Bukamal city council, Ghannam Khalifa, said in a statement to SANA reporter that as a result of the residents’ complaints about the existence of malfunctions in the sewage network in Tuwayba neighborhood, which is one of the neighborhoods that witness an intense return of its residents and is overcrowded, and after conducting a technical inspection of a number of streets in the neighborhood, it became clear the necessity of replacing the entire network. Direct, in cooperation with international organizations (the German Syrian Reconstruction and Reconstruction Organization), the replacement of sewage lines in the streets of the neighborhood with a length of up to 1200 meters.
In turn, the project manager, Engineer Raeda Qaddouri, indicated that the works include changing the old sewage network with a network of concrete pavers with a diameter of 40 and 50 cm, with a distance of up to 1,200 meters, in addition to implementing concrete manholes and rain drainage points and restoring the asphalt shirt.
