The conclusion of the third periodic equestrian race in Latakia

The third periodic race for purebred Arabian horses, which was set up by the Syrian Association of Purebred Arabian Horses in cooperation with the Office of Horses in the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform and the General Sports Federation, was concluded on the grounds of the racecourse in the Al-Assad Sports City in Lattakia.

The horse Antar Al-Mizer won the first place in the first half of the Syrian purebred horses of the third degree for a distance of 1400 meters, and the horse Zain Al-Waad won the title of the second half for the Arab horses of the third degree for the same distance, while the horse Saed Badr Al-Din won the title of the third round for the pure horses of the fourth degree for a distance of 1600 metres.

The horse Habib Sedky won the first place in the fourth and fifth races for the Arabian horses of the fourth degree for a distance of 1600 meters and 1000 meters respectively, while the horse Victor Damascus came first in the sixth race for the horses registered in the fourth degree for a distance of 1000 meters and the horse (Share SH) the title of the seventh race for the pure horses of the two degrees The first and second at 4 years of age for a distance of 1800 metres, while the horse (Dominant Umm) was crowned with the title of the eighth race for purebred Arabian horses of the first and second degrees for the same distance.

In a statement to SANA, the Vice-President of the Syrian Association for Purebred Arabian Horses, Dr. Tariq Abdul Rahim, said, "This race witnessed the participation of 78 horses, which is an indication of the increased interest in these races by horse breeders, knowing that the second race in Lattakia will be held next September."

The director of the association, Muhammad Al-Wadi, confirmed that the competitions were strong and full of excitement and fun, and their first places were not decided except by the last meters, pointing out that there are horses that won advanced positions despite their participation for the first time.

In turn, some of the horse breeders pointed out that the good organization and the large crowd attendance gave the race a distinct flavor and they always participate in all the periodic races out of their great love for the equestrian sport and their desire for its continuity and development for the better.
