The Anti-Narcotics Branch in Hama arrested two drug dealers and drug users in the governorate and seized 22,000 Captagon pills.
The Ministry of Interior stated, in a statement that SANA received a copy of, that the Anti-Narcotics Branch in Hama managed to arrest two people who had engaged in drug promotion and abuse, and seized in their possession a quantity of 22,000 Captagon pills, a hand grenade and a smuggled motorcycle, which were originally confiscated.
The ministry indicated that by interrogating the arrested, they confessed that they had formed a network with some hidden persons to traffic in and use narcotic substances, and that they had sold a large amount of drugs in the villages adjacent to the city of Hama in exchange for material benefit, pointing out that by examining their status, it was found that the arrestee was the first with a criminal record. Drug use and theft, and against him several requests for the offense of kidnapping, ransom and theft.
The ministry indicated that the necessary measures have been taken against them and the search is still going on to arrest all those involved in the case, and the arrestees will be presented with the confiscations to the competent judiciary.
