In Russia, the former McDonald's branches have reopened.
The rich owner announced the new name.
Moscow - The golden "M" is history in Russia.
In the wake of the escalating Ukraine conflict, the US company finally withdrew from Putin's empire a few weeks ago.
But it wasn't long before the branches in Moscow and the surrounding area reopened.
Now the new owner has also announced the name under which the chain will continue to operate in Russia.
From now on, McDonald's in Russia will be called "Vkusno i totschka", meaning "Delicious and period".
Almost 850 former US chain restaurants will now operate under this name.
The 51,000 former McDonald's employees nationwide will keep their jobs.
In Russia, McDonald's becomes "Delicious and period" - changes are limited
McDonald's had completely withdrawn from the Russian market in response to the Russian offensive in Ukraine.
In May, the US fast-food giant announced it was selling its burger restaurants in Russia to Russian businessman Alexander Govor.
He had last operated 25 McDonald's branches in Siberia and after the withdrawal bought the country's 825 other restaurants for an undisclosed price.
He now wants to reopen 200 restaurants by the end of June - the rest by the end of the summer.
Gowor once became rich through deals in the oil and mining industry.

However, Gowor is no longer allowed to use the yellow M and so the symbol has been removed from the restaurants in recent weeks.
The new logo consists of a red circle with two orange lines on a green background.
Otherwise, as little as possible should change.
The menus of "Lecker und Punkt" are said to be very similar to the previous ones from McDonald's.
According to

, only individual burgers were renamed.
For example, the "Filet-o-Fish" is now called "Fisch-Burger" or the Hamburger "Royal" is now called "Grand".
"Our goal is that our guests do not notice any difference in quality or ambience," said the new managing director Oleg Paroev, according to Reuters.
The furniture and the interior design of the restaurants are also to be retained.
