Tips to make a small room feel bigger (@gabbychristine_)
Many of us have a "half room" in the house that is usually meant to be used as a study, but ends up as a crate and unnecessary equipment room.
To make these small rooms more useful, a home design expert suggests methods that will enlarge any small room - without having to break down walls.
In fact, not only halves of rooms can look bigger to you thanks to its tips, but also bedrooms, kitchen and living room.
Rebecca Snowden, of Furniture Choice, told The Express that there are a few things you can do to give your little room a much more spacious look.
The first thing you need to take care of is to make room.
"Make sure you create a clean track around the room so you have an easy way to navigate and use it," she says, "bring the furniture closer to the walls."
She advises throwing away all large, heavy or wide storage cabinets in favor of floating shelves or wall-mounted hanging fixtures.

Her next tip has to do with lighting - another great source of tricks, according to Snowden.
For those lucky enough to have a room blessed with natural light, she says it should be used to their advantage.
"Go for sheer curtains or Venetian blinds / blinds instead of heavy curtains so that the sunlight flowing in is diffused," she advises.
However, if your room does not have a lot of natural light, do not worry.
Snowden argues that artificial lights, such as floor lamps (and as much as possible) or track lighting, are also a great way to give the illusion of a larger space.
When it comes to the location of the mirrors, she recommends anyone who has a living room or small dining room - hang them in front of the window to "scatter light around".
Keep a thin and simple frame if you use a mirror that is too large.
"In the bedroom, add side tables with a mirror for a modern luxurious touch."
Its other top tips include painting walls white, using relatively small furniture, hanging on the walls instead of loading them on the floor (TV cabinets for example) and utilizing high ceilings.
She adds: "If you have high ceilings, draw attention to it with tall design elements, like large paintings or long curtains."
