After Bro'Sis ended, Giovanni Zarrella feared for his career.
The fact that pop star Robbie Williams, of all people, who had to leave the boy band Take That in 1995, experienced something similar and still made it big, gave him new courage.
Like his idol, the pop singer has now also achieved great fame solo.
Leipzig – For Giovanni Zarrella (all news about the hit star) it went rapidly uphill in the course of his career, which is now more than 20 years old, but then at times just as steeply down again: In particular, the end of his group Bro'Sis made things difficult for the hit star.
The fact that Robbie Williams, who was kicked out of the boy band Take That in 1995 after a number of drug and party excesses, experienced a similar career break and still made it to the top, gave the 44-year-old new courage, as he revealed on "Riverboat".

Giovanni Zarrella speaks on "Riverboat" about Bro'Sis-Aus - pop star feared the end of his career
Giovanni Zarrella has experienced a tremendous career boost in recent years: the 44-year-old has really taken off in the charts with Italian cover songs of well-known hits and has even been able to moderate his own ZDF program (all information about the "Giovanni Zarrella Show") since 2021.
Lucky for the 44-year-old, because he didn't have "a plan B", he explained in the MDR talk.
For the hit star, it was clear early on that he wanted to make a living from music.
That's why the fact that his dream of a big hit was about to be shattered after the end of Bro'Sis bothered the German-Italian: "When it was over, I didn't know how to continue.
I was afraid it was all over now.”

"Was the anchor for me": Giovanni Zarrella drew new courage after a career low thanks to Robbie Williams
It was a similar story about a decade earlier for Robbie Williams, who had to turn his back on boy band Take That in July 1995 after several escapades.
It was also quite bumpy for the Brit solo at first, but his solo career got going despite initial difficulties – that gave Giovanni Zarrella hope: “When Bro'Sis was over, Robbie Williams was always my role model, because he was too came out of a big band and his first three or four singles were a big flop.”
With his world hit "Angels", Robbie Williams played his way back into the hearts of his fans and experienced a brilliant rise to the celebrated pop star in the years that followed:
"That was always the anchor for me, where I said: Come on, it worked for once , then dear God, help that it works a second time,"
said the pop star (the most successful German pop singer) on "Riverboat".
Giovanni Zarrella is deeply connected to Robbie Williams' hit "Angels" – he also thanks his Jana Ina
"Angels" "opened all doors" for Robbie Williams, enthused Giovanni Zarrella, who still today associates great emotions with the song due to his own, quite similar career.
In the meantime, the pop singer has even covered the hit himself – in Italian, of course: “Un Angelo” is the first single from his album, which will be released this summer.

But not only his great role model, but also the people around him gave the moderator and singer new courage, especially his parents and his wife Jana Ina.
"For me, she was the symbol that something new was growing there," the 44-year-old honored his "wonderful wife" and great love on the MDR show.
