A 10-year-old child and two adults were injured in the motorboat fire on Lake Zurich on Saturday.
Local residents reported fire on a boat on the lake shore of Meilen, around 15 kilometers south of Zurich, in the afternoon.
When the police arrived, several motor boats, the jetty and the boathouse were already on fire.
Meter-high columns of smoke rose, some of which could be seen for miles.

speaks of a total of 16 burning motor boats.
Accordingly, 15 motor boats would have burn marks or were charred, one had sunk.
Switzerland: The police are currently ruling out this reason for the fire
According to the Zürichsee Zeitung
, local residents
reported a loud bang.
This could come from the explosion of a tank, is a suspicion that has not yet been officially confirmed by the police.
The cause of the fire was still unclear in the evening.
"After the initial investigation, arson can be ruled out," the police said.
The environmental damage of the accident is limited.
The fire brigade put out the fires and laid oil booms on the water to prevent the lake from being polluted.
As a result, the water of Lake Zurich was hardly affected.
Although the fire caused a lot of smoke, the population was even briefly instructed to close doors and windows and turn off the air conditioning and ventilation.
A short time later, however, the all-clear came.
However, the smell of burned wood and plastic is still in the air around the accident site, according to the
