The app that predicts the future (Faladdin)

In the horror film "Countdown" released in 2019, a young woman named Kevin Harris (Elizabeth Lyle) downloads a mobile app that reveals how much time she has left to live.

Unfortunately, she discovers that she has only two days left and that a number of people who downloaded the app found their deaths unexpectedly.

Very quickly she realizes that the app's dark predictions are accurate.

How will you react if we tell you that there is a completely real app that does this?

The surprising "divination" app has garnered millions of users and is praised for its remarkably accurate predictions.

Unlike the movie, the predictions do not predict death but there are also quite a few pessimistic predictions for users who dare to try it.

"Faladdin" is a free fortune-telling app available on Android and iPhone that gives users tarot cards, horoscopes and even coffee calls powered by artificial intelligence.

Its creators argue that it combines deep learning of artificial intelligence with "mystical disciplines" to give people customized everyday readings.

Users claim that Paladin is "scary in its level of accuracy" and gave it a high rating on Google Play.

The app was created by Turkish entrepreneur Saratak Tsedlan, who was inspired to build it by his mother, a fortune teller.

Saratak told the Dailystar: "The inspiration struck me in 2010 when my friends and I enjoyed Turkish coffee at dinner. I explained to them that my mother, a fortune teller in her spare time, could read their future from coffee cups."

Sartak and his friends started sending pictures of their coffee cups to his mother and she sent them calls back in the mail.

It grew rapidly and became a popular blog and from there an app that could generate personalized readings automatically.

Google Play reviewed the app: "When I started using it, it told me it was going to rain tomorrow. Well, I turned to the weather app and saw that no rain was expected. The next day I went to the bookstore and suddenly a strong flood started, out of nowhere. The app knew." .

Another wrote: "It's scary how accurate this app is for me and my fiancée. We update it every day and are always amazed at the level of accuracy. I have to check if I have approved the app's use of the microphone, because it seems to know very well what we are going through."

Another person wrote: "Take off your hat, this is the best app of all time."

So that you do not think it is sponsored content, here is also the downside of the app: many have criticized the number of ads popping up to the free users and claimed that the app is unusable.

Others have written that a slight change in the app's settings completely changes all readings.

A user wrote in response: "I accidentally chose the LGBT option and now all my calls are very inaccurate as one claimed I would buy a car any time soon, even though I do not have a license.

"Otherwise she talked about my sister, but I do not have a sister."
