An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale hit Van province in eastern Turkey today.
The Turkish Emergency and Disasters Department said in a statement today: An earthquake centered in the district of Toshba in the state of Van occurred at a depth of 18.36 km below the surface of the earth.
The statement indicated that there were no reports of injuries or material damage.
Yesterday, a 4.1-magnitude earthquake hit Antalya, southern Turkey.
