In the early morning of Friday (10th) on Wyndham Street in Central, a car crash, beheading and shooting occurred. The two gangs were suspected of business disputes and turf battles. One of the gangs got off the car and fought with knives. The attacked party once fired back.
Police have so far arrested four men from the same gang on suspicion of "attempting to wound" and "possessing an offensive weapon".
After an in-depth investigation, the police temporarily charged a local man and three non-Chinese men, aged between 23 and 42, with one count of "attempting wounding with intent" yesterday (11th) and today (12th). and one count each of "possession of an offensive weapon."
The case was handed over to the Organised Crime and Triad Investigation Division for continued follow-up. The semi-automatic pistol involved in the case has not been recovered, and more arrests cannot be ruled out.
Four men arrested on two counts will appear in Eastern District Court on Monday.
