A 45-year-old resident of Hadera threatened suicide today (Sunday) and climbed on a crane on Herzl Street in Hadera, 50 meters above the ground.
The man apparently spoke on the phone with a Social Security representative and after being dissatisfied with the treatment announced that he was "going to commit suicide".
Fire and rescue crews were called to the scene and for about four hours worked to rescue him.
Negotiations and rescuers were also rushed to the scene to ensure the man's safety and persuade him to get off the crane.
At the end of the rescue operations that ended in peace - he was examined by medical officials.

The fire brigade said that firefighters under the command of Reshef Majdi Tiara and the commander of the special rescue unit, Major Jihad Abu Hamdan, "rescued a friend and began rescue operations 50 meters from the ground," the statement said.
