Eight people were killed in a terrorist attack on a customs post in the Koutiala region in southeastern Mali.
AFP quoted a Malian military source as saying, in a statement today, that an attack by terrorists on a customs post in the Koutiala region, near the border with Burkina Faso, killed two customs officers and six civilians and wounded four others, noting that the terrorists took a customs car while they were withdrawing. The source added that the terrorists were on motorcycles and a light truck while carrying out their attack on the customs point in Koutiala.
Mali has been witnessing a state of instability since 2012 due to armed terrorist groups affiliated with Al-Qaeda and (ISIS) terrorists operating in the Triangle border region with Niger and Burkina Faso.
