With the help of a chainsaw, firefighters freed a small child from a prickly bush in Frankenthal.
The boy had slipped while playing on a tree and fell into a five-foot thicket of brambles, ivy and other undergrowth, from which he could no longer extricate himself.
The rescue workers had to contact him via a ladder, the fire department said.
Frankenthal - In addition to the chainsaw, they also borrowed a hedge trimmer from neighbors to cut a path to him.
"With a little support, he was then able to bravely make his way out of the thicket himself," the statement said.
Apparently he didn't suffer any injuries.
