The award winners have been determined for almost two years, but the pandemic has so far prevented the ceremony.

But now the art prizes of the district have been awarded to director Matthias Kiefersauer from Waldram, sculptor Antonia Leitner from Reichersbeuern and the author Friedrich Ani, who grew up in Kochel.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen – Two difficult years lie behind the artists.

A lot, almost everything, was no longer possible during the pandemic.

But this lack of culture also created a new consciousness.

"We have noticed how important art is, especially in the last two years," said District Administrator Josef Niedermaier in his welcome speech at the art award ceremony.

"It is enriching and touches us."

Masterful mirror installation

The art promotion prize went to Antonia Leitner.

The sculptor lives in Reichersbeuern and works in Otto Wesendonck's studio in Waakirchen, "who recognized her talent very early on," said journalist Monika Ziegler in her laudatory speech.

“We at KulturVision eV have followed the young artist’s path as journalists from the very beginning. The first article about her appeared in our Kulturbegegnungen newspaper in 2014 and another one in 2018.

That is extremely rare and already indicates that we are dealing with an extraordinary artistic personality here.” Every visitor to the district office can see this for himself at the moment: among other things, Leitner’s work “Apate” can be seen there until the end of July.

The mirror installation masterfully plays with reality and deception.

it is a work

that “immediately fascinates its viewer.

I was speechless and entranced," said Ziegler.

Works by Antonia Leitner - including the work "Apate" - can currently be seen in the foyer of the district office.

Stefan Murr congratulates Matthias Kiefersauer via video

Tölz actor Stefan Murr sent his congratulations to art award winner Matthias Kiefersauer via video message.

In 2002, the two worked together for the first time on the film "Wonderful Days".

Kiefersauer ("Munich Murder", "False Seventies") is a "wonderful director, a fantastic screenwriter, columnist and heartfelt," said Murr.

He more than deserved the award.

He is a master of his art and puts “a lot of heart and soul into every project,” says Murr.

"As an actor, it is a gift to work with him, because you can trust him personally and artistically." That the Waldramer is also an excellent columnist can be read every week in the Munich newspaper Merkur.

"Concise, funny, clever, razor-sharp" - these are Kiefersauer's texts.

"This is great art.

In addition, the Waldramer is also "a very, very good friend and a wonderful person," said Murr.

"I'm so proud of you," he said, raising his glass to the award winner.

Friedrich Ani an “admirably modest man of life”

There were two laudators for crime novel and screenwriter Friedrich Ani, who was awarded the cultural honor letter for his life's work.

Ani grew up as the son of a Silesian mother and a Syrian father in Kochel am See, which is perhaps why he “developed a very special view of our homeland.

A view from inside and outside – at the same time – so to speak.

A distanceless and distant at the same time,” said director and actor Marcus Mittermeier.

Ani's works are characterized by the fact that he pays great attention to all his characters.

He understands how "to give every character, no matter how small and seemingly insignificant, a universe and fill it with life," said Mittermeier.

Jürgen Kirner, head of the Munich Tower Writers, took over the other part of the laudatory speech.

to which Ani has belonged since 2010.

"Honoring the work of an applied writer is a glorious task.

Even more so when it comes to such a great and at the same time admirably modest man like Fritz Ani, whose outstanding spirit is equipped with a gigantic and never-ending universe of ingenious trains of thought, captivating language games and grandiosely virtuoso composed, abysmal stories Munich tower writers are "proud and happy" to have Ani in their ranks, emphasized Kirner.

His advice to Ani: “Let yourself be celebrated and cheered on – even if you don’t like it that way.

You more than deserve this award.”
