Deputy Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran Abbas Moqtadaei stressed that the decision of the International Atomic Energy Agency's Board of Governors against Iran is politicized and not credible, stressing that the Shura Council will not allow the agency to ignore the interests of the Iranian people by issuing such decisions.
IRNA quoted Moqtadaei as saying in a statement today: "The IAEA should not deviate from the course of its essential tasks to issue decisions of a political nature to pressure Iran or allow its misuse by some countries," noting that his country's voluntary cooperation with the agency is considered irrelevant. Justified after issuing this decision.
Moqtadaei made it clear that Western parties should know that Iran is an independent country and abides by international rules, and no country can misuse the tools of international organizations against Iran.
For his part, spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Shura Council, Mahmoud Abbas Zada Mishkini, affirmed that the agency's decision does not have any legal or international credibility, and is a showy step coordinated with the West and America.
Today, 260 deputies of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly signed a statement condemning the recent decision of the International Atomic Energy Agency's Board of Governors against Iran's nuclear activities.
