Senior Israeli officials said today (Sunday) that preparations are underway for the possible arrival of US President Joe Biden in Israel on July 14.

The deadline has not yet been finalized.

The president's visit is scheduled to take place first at the end of this month, but a week ago US sources told NBC that it was postponed to July, due to his intention to extend the visit to the Middle East.

Last week, a senior Israeli official confirmed NBC's report to Walla!

He added that officials in the US administration had sent an unofficial message to Israel, according to which they were expected to postpone the visit due to schedule considerations.

He added that for the Americans, a visit this month "is not ready enough in terms of its contents."
