Legislative 2022, first round: what time will we have the results?

2022-06-12T08:38:33.528Z

The French have been voting since this Sunday morning for the first round of the legislative election. On the Parisian site, the first estimates

Polling stations have been open throughout mainland France since 8 a.m. this Sunday.

After the presidential election, the French vote for the first round of legislative elections.

The challenge ?

Choose the person who will represent them in the National Assembly as a deputy.

As required by law, the results of the presidential election (like the estimates made by polling institutes) cannot be published before the polls close at 8 p.m.

Even if the results are already final and transmitted to the Ministry of the Interior, abroad where the ballot took place last Sunday, or in small towns where the polling stations close at 6 p.m. and the counting is rapid.

Consult the results of the legislative elections, constituency by constituency.

Follow the results in particular in Paris, Marseille or Lyon.

As well as the results in the districts of Hauts-de-Seine, Val-de-Marne, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-d'Oise, Essonne, Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines and in Oise.

"No result, partial or definitive, can be communicated to the public through the press or by any means of communication to the public electronically, in mainland France, before the closing of the last polling station", thus confirms the official site. vie-publique.fr.

"Results" still released before

This rule, although strict, is however regularly circumvented.

Thus, foreign media are not subject to this injunction.

So, well before 8 p.m., we find at each election partial results or polls at the exit of the polls on Belgian sites for example.

On social networks, some Internet users also have fun distiling, in a more or discreet way, results from their polling stations.

Be careful, these figures are however to be taken with a grain of salt, as they can vary greatly depending on the departments or the polling stations.

On Le Parisien, it will be possible to find the results of the second round of the presidential election from 8 p.m., first thanks to our estimates, then throughout the evening, constituency by constituency, thanks to data published by the Ministry of Interior.
