The 1,028 polling stations in the 36 municipalities of Hauts-de-Seine open this Sunday, at 8 a.m., for the first round of the legislative elections.

Since the presidential election on April 10 and 24, the department has won 6,336 voters, standing at 1,004,065 registered voters.

Which have until 8 p.m. to vote for the 155 candidates in thirteen constituencies.

That is between ten and fifteen candidates depending on the territory, with a view to a seat as a deputy in the National Assembly – which has 577 – for the next five years.

In Hauts-de-Seine, the presidential majority (LREM, MoDem) had won 10 constituencies in 2017. But today there are only five outgoing deputies finally reinvested: Isabelle Florennes (MoDem, candidate on the 4th), Céline Calvez (LREM, candidate on the 5th), Gabriel Attal (LREM, candidate on the 10th), Laurianne Rossi (LREM, candidate on the 11th) and Jean-Louis Bourlanges (MoDem, candidate on the 12th).

Consult the results of the legislative elections in Hauts-de-Seine.

Follow in particular the results of the elections in Neuilly, Puteaux or Courbevoie, municipalities of the 6th district where Marie-Caroline Le Pen, sister of Marine Le Pen, is running.

Among the outgoing are also Constance Le Grip, the only LR elected in 2017 in the 6th district and invested this time by Together, the new name of the presidential majority.

And Elsa Faucillon, elected PCF of the 1st district and candidate of the union of the left under the label Nupes (New union popular ecologist and social).

In the six constituencies without leaving, the presidential majority is counting on the scores of Emmanuel Macron two months ago to affirm a little more its presence in the department.

On April 10, the president-candidate obtained 37.1% of the vote in Hauts-de-Seine, against 8% for Valérie Pécresse (LR) and 25.8% for Jean-Luc Mélenchon (LFI).

Many duels expected in the second round

But, considering the results of all the political formations of the Nupes (LFI, EELV, PS and PCF), its potential reserve amounts to 34.9% of the votes cast in the department.

And therefore suggests many duels between the Together candidates representing the presidential majority and those of the union of the left for the second round next Sunday.

Unless the LR candidates with a strong local weight in the department come to thwart the national forecasts.

Still, to access the second round, candidates must position themselves in the first positions or have garnered at least 12.5% of registered voters.

A rule that leaves little room for triangular, given the expected participation.

In 2017, it was 54.4% in the first round in Hauts-de-Seine, against 48.7% nationally.

Under similar conditions, it would take three candidates with more than 22% to have a triangular in the second round.

Similarly, to be elected in the first round, it is not enough to garner 50% of the votes, but also 25% of those registered.

It could therefore be that a candidate having obtained more than half of the votes cast will be forced into a second round, for lack of sufficient voters.
