Legislative results 2022: who are the five deputies elected in the first round

Five candidates managed to win their seat in the National Assembly by gathering more than 50% of the votes cast in their constituency as of this Sunday, June 12. Four of them are from La France insoumise.

The outgoing Horizons Yannick Favennec, 3rd in Mayenne

Yannick Favennec, outgoing Horizons deputy for the third constituency of Mayenne, was re-elected with 57% of the vote.

He is therefore preparing to serve a fifth term.

The outgoing LFI Alexis Corbière, 7th of Seine-Saint-Denis

The outgoing LFI deputy Alexis Corbière was re-elected comfortably in the first round in the 7th constituency of Seine-Saint-Denis with 62.94% of the vote.

He is clearly ahead of the presidential majority candidate Marie-Laure Brossier (15.99%).

The outgoing LFI Danièle Obono, 17th in Paris

The outgoing LFI deputy Danièle Obono was also re-elected in the first round, obtaining 57.07% of the votes in the 17th district of Paris (18 and 19th arrondissements).

Since his election in 2017, the Insoumise has become one of the main executives of the movement of Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

The Insoumise Sarah Legrain, 16th of Paris

The official results were not yet known at midnight but Sarah Legrain claimed victory in the first round in the 16th district of Paris (19th arrondissement).

On Twitter, Jean-Luc Mélenchon hailed a

"superb election"

, calling it

"magnificent leader of the Insoumis and responsible founding vice-president of the parliament of the new popular union".

The Insoumise Sophia Chikirou, 6th in Paris

Ile-de-France regional councilor and close to Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Sophia Chikirou won her election in the 6th constituency (11th and 20th arrondissements) in the first round with 53.74% of the vote.

Macronist Senator Julien Bargeton is far behind, winning 25.62% of the vote.

“Magnificent election for an activist who is very responsible for our movement and Nupes.

Hooray!”

, greeted Jean-Luc Mélenchon.
